I've been doing a bit of Home Dec sewing lately...I made a bunch of pillows for Beth's bedroom in varying sizes using the leftover fabric from the curtains. All the pillows have pipping and I was not liking that I could not get the needle as close as I wanted to using the larger piping, so I went to Byrne's, Bernina dealer, to see about a new foot for my machine. The solution was the (pricey) number 55 Leather Roller Foot ,which is also recommended for large piping. It can also be used for free motion quilting, which as it turns out is oh so wonderful. I used this foot on the tail of a Mermaid Halloween costume, it pivots and easily follows curves with feed dogs up, I think I like this foot a lot!
