I've been reading this book, Casting Shadows by Colleen Wise.
I purchased wooden shapes at Michaels crafts, they were 25 cents each to use as the "shadows". I prepared in a squirt bottle a 50/50 bleach water mixture, tested a few fabrics. These are the Discharge test strips...
The blue and green fabrics on the right are the ones I chose.

Absolutely fascinating. Did you use anti-chlor in your wash out buckets?
Well Mary it must have been an ADHD moment. I went to Michaels to buy the paint for the gelatin prints, as I was walking around the store I came across these wooden shapes, then remembered the chapter in the book about discharging shadows then it hit me, I could use these wooden shapes as the shadows as well as with the gelatin so had to give it try....
I stopped by Byrnes today, at least another week to 10 days for my machine, they had none available for loaners.
For Valeri, I used Acid-Up, similar compound to anti-chlor, we use it to adjust the pH in our hot tub.
This looks like great fun, and I love your results. Thanks for sharing process photos. Jen
