9:00am...I walked 3.2 miles, 65 minutes, "Who's Next" The Who. A well played and loved CD. It has been skipping a lot lately, maybe time to get a new one. This album ALWAYS reminds me of 8th grade, taking the bus downtown to go ice skating on the outdoor rink at Xerox Square with the girls. Michelle, Jean, Jackie & Dolores, how are you gals?

Weekend in Review
Over the weekend, Beth and I took a trip to Williamsburg, VA with Danielle and her cheerleading squad, to attend the ECA National Cheerleading Competition, it was held at The College of William and Mary. On Saturday after their performance, a few of us took a walk through Colonial Williamsburg, while other went to the Outlet Mall.
The other George W (Washington) giving a speech...
Their crime? Shopping....
The competition was scored by your performance on Saturday added to that on Sunday. The squad placed second in the Large Varsity Division!!!

Dreaming Bubbles
This is drawing I did of Danielle last year, as she was laying on the sofa with her hood up, this is all that you could see of her face. I used shiva paint sticks on PFD Fabric. It has been hanging on my wall just waiting for something to happen to it.
Well, it started with a scribble, inspired by Mary's "Head Music 2", in my sketch book, incorporating the face...then adding some of Melody's luscious hand dyed fabrics...it is about 29" x 32".
So, please tell me what you think...

Live at Red Guitar
Danielle's quilt "Live at Red Guitar" was accepted for judging at QHC in Lancaster PA. It will be in the Wall Hanging Category. The quilt measures 34 x 58 (it is two inches too narrow for the Pictorial Category). She made this for her Senior project in high school, it is modeled after a poster of Dave Matthews. The guitar is thread painted using red and silver Superior brand threads. The guitar strings are silver cording, couched, real buttons, silver bedazzeler stars & commercial fabrics.

Bodacious Bloomers with Melody
Thursday, I attended the New Jersey Quilt Fest and took Melody Johnson's workshop Bodacious Bloomers, and a few of my friends were there too! There were several no-shows in the class, the weather was pretty bad. Early in the morning Kathy Hooper called the restaurant in the Marriott, and reserved a table for the whole class for lunch, a great time was had by all. Melody said to let you all know she won't be posting or reading email till she returns from the show.

Circle Time
Well, here it is...."Circle Time". My version of Karen Stone's Indian Orange Peel. I think I will just stitch in the ditch to quilt it, as I don't think the quilting will enhance this much. I must say I was totally addicted to sewing this project. It took about 5 weeks to complete as well as copious amounts of thread.
