Curvaceous

Self Challenge in Pink, 45" X 45". I did go to the last class, but I just sewed the background blocks and part of the border there, the center was completed by then. I had layed out my design during lunch and I told Ellen I was going to applique the center to the background. She suggested sewing it in with a Y seam at the sides, so that's what I did even though they ended up being only 1 inch. I like those extra curves it added.

Wow! You've outdone yourself! This is beautiful! Did you abandon the class? How did you get this done so fast? Tell us the story!

Hi Marlene!

No, it does not look traditional to me. The colors are so refreshingly different.

That turned out gorgeous!! (I don't usually care much for pink, but this is a pink quilt I can cheer about!)

A great contemporary take on something with traditional roots! So much movement in this piece, Marlene -- really nice.
